Tarpon Springs Boat Rentals

If you're staying up in Tarpon Springs and craving a day on the water, you're only a short drive from being aboard. Our dock is the Seminole Street boat launch at 200 Seminole St in Clearwater, sitting right at the eastern foot of the Clearwater Memorial Causeway on the mainland — roughly 25 to 30 minutes straight down US-19 and Alt-19 from the sponge docks. We don't keep boats in Tarpon Springs, and we'll be honest about that: what we offer is an easy, scenic trip south to a central launch point, and from there some of the best northbound cruising on the whole Pinellas coast. If you've spent your morning walking Dodecanese Boulevard smelling grilled octopus and fresh sponges, an afternoon on one of our pontoons is the natural next chapter.

White-sand shoreline and clear Gulf water near Clearwater Beach

Here's why a Tarpon Springs boat rental actually makes sense from our Clearwater base: the water you'll want to see is south and west of you, and our dock puts you right in the middle of it. Point the bow north from 200 Seminole St and you're pulling toward Honeymoon Island, Anclote Key, and the tucked-away shoal called Three Rooker Bar — the same barrier-island world that frames the Anclote River you already know from town. You get the wild, undeveloped Gulf islands without fighting the shallow, tricky stretches of the Anclote itself. It's the difference between launching into open, forgiving harbor water and threading a river channel you don't know.

Because you're driving a little farther than folks staying on Clearwater Beach, we usually steer Tarpon Springs guests toward a full day on the water rather than a quick four-hour hop. Our 6-hour ($499) and 8-hour ($599) rentals are where a northbound run really pays off. Eight hours gives you time to idle out to Anclote Key, drop anchor off its four miles of empty white sand, wade in for a swim, run over to Honeymoon Island, and still have the afternoon to hang on a Clearwater Harbor sandbar before you turn back. A 4-hour trip ($399) works too, but for the drive you're making, the long days are the sweet spot.

You've got two boats to choose from and both are built for a proper cooler-and-sunscreen day. The Berkshire pontoon seats 9 and the bigger Viaggio tritoon seats 12, and each comes with a bimini top for shade, a Bluetooth stereo, a cooler, and life jackets for everyone. You can self-drive if your captain is 25 or older with a little boating experience — Florida law requires a Boating Safety ID Card for anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, so bring it — or you can add one of our licensed captains and just enjoy the ride. If it's your first time in these waters, a captain is worth every dollar; they know exactly where the dolphins hang out.

And the dolphins are the part nobody oversells — we spot wild bottlenose dolphins almost every single day out here, often riding the wake right alongside the pontoon. Between the dolphins, the barrier islands, and the Gulf sunsets on the ride home, a day launched from our Clearwater dock gives you the open-water Florida that the sponge docks only hint at. Come see us in Clearwater and we'll get you pointed north.
