You already know these waters better than most — Island Estates is wrapped in canals, and if you've walked the seawalls or watched boats idle past the aquarium, you've seen exactly where we cruise. When you launch with us from Seminole Street, you'll come right back through the same Clearwater Harbor you look at from home, except this time you've got a late-model Berkshire pontoon that seats 9 or a Viaggio tritoon that seats 12 under you, both with a bimini top for shade, a Bluetooth stereo, a cooler, and life jackets aboard. It's your everyday view, made into a day on the water.

From our dock it's an easy, protected run out into Clearwater Harbor and up the Intracoastal to the barrier islands you can practically see from the island — Caladesi and Honeymoon, Three Rooker Bar, One Tree Island, and the shifting sandbars where locals raft up on a calm afternoon. Point south instead and you can make a longer day of it toward John's Pass; point north and Anclote Key is on the table. And because you're launching right off the Clearwater Beach chain, wild bottlenose dolphins turn up almost daily, usually before you've even cleared the no-wake zone.

You can run the boat yourself or add a licensed captain — your call. To self-drive, the driver needs to be 25 or older with some real boating experience, plus a Florida Boating Safety Education ID Card if you were born on or after January 1, 1988. If you'd rather just kick back with the family, hand us the wheel and one of our captains will handle the driving and the local knowledge while you handle the cooler. Either way, rates are straightforward: $399 for 4 hours, $499 for 6, or $599 for a full 8-hour day, plus tax and fuel.

We're a family-run operation, so booking an Island Estates trip feels less like renting and more like borrowing a boat from someone down the causeway.
