Dunedin Boat Rentals

If you're staying in Dunedin, you're closer to a great day on the water than you might think. Our dock sits about 15 minutes south of you at the Seminole Street boat launch, 200 Seminole St in Clearwater, right at the eastern foot of the Clearwater Memorial Causeway on the mainland. A quick run down Alt 19 and you're standing on our dock with a Dunedin boat rental waiting, no ferry line, no scramble for a slip. From there the whole northern stretch of barrier islands opens up, and it happens to be the stretch Dunedin folks already love.

White-sand shoreline and clear Gulf water near Clearwater Beach

Dunedin has always had a soft spot for Honeymoon Island and Caladesi, and from our Clearwater dock you reach both under your own power instead of waiting on the causeway crowds. Point the bow north through Clearwater Harbor and you'll trace the same barrier islands you can see from the Dunedin Causeway, only now you choose where to drop anchor. Caladesi's back-bay coves, the shell-strewn sand off Honeymoon, and Three Rooker Bar are all comfortably within a half-day cruise, and you'll almost certainly share the ride with the wild bottlenose dolphins that work these waters nearly every day.

The boats are built for exactly this kind of unhurried island-hopping. Choose the Berkshire pontoon that seats 9 or the roomier Viaggio tritoon that seats 12, both with a bimini top for shade when the Gulf sun gets serious, a Bluetooth stereo, a cooler for what you packed, and life jackets for everyone aboard. There's plenty of deck to spread out, so a Dunedin family, a downtown friend group, or a couple of households sharing a beach day all fit without anyone feeling crowded.

You can captain it yourself or hand off the wheel. Self-drive works if your driver is 25 or older with a little boating experience, plus a Florida Boating Safety ID Card if they were born on or after January 1, 1988. Prefer to keep your hands free for the cooler and the camera? Add a licensed captain who knows these harbor channels and sandbars cold, which is a smart call if it's your first time reading the flats up here. Rentals run $399 for 4 hours, $499 for 6, and $599 for 8, plus tax and fuel.

The run from our dock is genuinely easy to plan around a Dunedin day. Come down in the morning, spend the middle of the day out on the sand off Caladesi or Honeymoon, and you're back to your Dunedin dinner reservation or a walk down Main Street by evening. We're open daily 8am to 8pm, and a quick call to 727-744-6999 gets your boat and window locked in. Think of us as your on-the-water extension of everything you already like about being up on the north end of the county.
